CARE TIPS 

Our Furniture handles and wall decorations are predominantly crafted by hand from brass, employing traditional casting techniques. Brass, renowned for its durability and superior quality, undergoes a gradual aging process characterized by a natural oxidation that may imbue a subtle yellow hue and develop a patina over time. Such changes are intrinsic to the material and should not be construed as defects.

Depending on the design, our handles and wall decorations are either coated with a transparent varnish or treated with a traditional oil coating. 

• Furniture handles and wall decorations are artisanal creations, meticulously handcrafted to meet individual specifications. As a result, each item possesses its own distinct character, and minor variations or 'imperfections' may naturally occur, which do not warrant returns or complaints.
  
• In certain instances, stains and discoloration may surface on the exterior of Furniture handles and wall decorations, especially those coated with galvanic finishes like nickel, chrome, copper, pearl, patinated silver, and gunmetal. However, it's important to note that these occurrences do not qualify as grounds for returns or complaints.
  
• Take care not to damage the handles or wall decorations with sharp tools.
• The galvanic and chrome coating applied in 24-carat gold is suitable for use in environments with high humidity levels.
  
  

COLOURINGS

Thanks to the process of polishing, patination, brushing or electroplating, each of the brass handles and wall decorations can be offered in 13 standard colours. However, it should be noted that some coatings (especially silver patina, pearl or copper - natural materials) are a subject to quicker oxidizing that can cause natural
stains. Please contact us via our Customer Service before placing the order in abovementioned colourings

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, corrosion-resistant and a more durable and harder than bronze - material of the highest quality. Its characteristic feature, however, is its slow 'ageing'. Handles and wall decorations in natural or polished brass may oxidise, develop a natural patina or change shade due to natural processes in the material. In order to slow down the ageing process and to allow the daily use - all pull handles and wall decorations are protected with clear polish or traditionally with wax, depending on the design.

 

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ALL INSTALLATION WORK SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT WITH CARE.

• Brass handle should be installed away from open flames, sparks and other sources of heat/fire, e.g. electrical heaters.
• It is the responsibility of the installer to assess the adhesion of the surface and its proper preparation as well as the selection of the appropriate installation method.
  
  

WALL DECORATIONS MOUNTED WITH MOUNTING GLUE

• The wall should be suitable for the weight of the decorative panels. 
• The wall decorations should be adhered to the surface using flexible mounting glue with high initial adhesion, similar characteristics (e.g. Gorilla Glue).* If the glue leaks out from under the wall decoration, immediately remove the excess with
  a dampened cloth or sponge. It mustn't dry.

1. Apply a suitable amount of adhesive to the designated points on the back of the panel. Place the panel onto the wall, press firmly and hold for about 1 minute and make sure the glue does not leak from under the panel.
2. Adhere the panel with painter's tape for additional support. Leave the painter's tape on for 24 hours.
3. For displays, continue gluing the panels using the same method (see point 2), each time securing them with the tape until the desired effect is achieved. Leave for 24 hours.
4. Delicately remove the tape after 24 hours. *The choice of the mounting adhesive, its strength, inadequate installation, damage to the product as a result of incorrect installation cannot be the basis for a complaint.
   
   

PIN-MOUNTED WALL DECORATIONS

A standard concrete/brick mounting dowel is included. If you wish to mount the product to a plasterboard wall, a dedicated mounting dowel must be purchased.

1. Using a drill, drill a hole in the wall and install the mounting dowel. Adjust the size of the hole to the size of the dowel.
2. Screw the threaded rod into the dedicated hole of the wall decoration foot, then screw the wall decoration with the threaded rod into the mounting dowel.

INSTALLATION OF FURNITURE HANDLES

All assembly work must be carried out with care. Due to the weight of the handles, beware of the possibility of scratching or damaging furniture fronts. Each handle is handcrafted and therefore slight spacing (+/- 1mm) might occur. Please
wait for the delivery for the order before drilling.

1. Choose the installation spot.To make it easier to mark out the points where the holes should be made, sharpened pins are included with the order.
2. In order to mark the location of the mounting/hole drilling, screw the pins into the handle, then place the handle with the pins onto the cabinet front and press down. Please note that the pin is intended to leave a mark that will make it easier to drill the holes, so position the handle precisely in the dedicated spot before pressing. Take care not to scratch the furniture front.
3. Drill holes in the spots determined with the pins.
4. Insert the screw into the hole. The head of the screw should be on the inside of the furniture front.
5. Screw the screw into the designated place in the foot of the handle.

 

CLEANING

Strong cleaning substances can trigger reactions with brass and electroplated coatings. To clean brass handles and wall decorations, do not use detergents like glass cleaners, descaling agents, bleaches, or other commercially available cleaning liquids (e.g. CIF, etc.).

• Only use a soft cloth to clean surfaces such as natural brass, polished brass, rustic patina, polished patina, black patina, and items with coatings of 24K gold, copper, nickel, pearl, chrome, and gunmetal.
  
• If brass gets dirty during use, e.g. with food products or makeup, the handles and wall decorations should be cleaned with a slightly damp, soft cloth.
